Edellä on jo käyty läpi hyvän aineen rakennetta, joka yleensä koostuu seuraavista osista:

On siis hyvä suunnitella aine niin, että aloitus ja lopetus kirjoitetaan kokonaan ja pääosaan kootaan tärkeimmät ideat.

Otetaan seuraavaksi esimerkkiaine ja pohdiskellaan rakenteen suunnitteluprosessia. Valitaan kirjoitelmatyypiksi kantaa ottava aine ja harkitaan ensin aineen aloitus (Ainetyypit-linkistä saat lisää tietoa erilaisten aineiden rakenteen suunnittelusta).

Aineen aloitus on erityisen tärkeä osa aineestasi. Aineen aloituksessa on mahdollisuus saada lukija ymmärtämään aineesi tavoite ja kiinnittää huomiota siihen. Jos pystyt tässä vaiheessa tekemään vaikutuksen lukijaan, se voi vaikuttaa siihen, miten hän suhtautuu aineeseesi aloituksen jälkeen.

Katso kahta seuraavaa aloitusta. Kummassakaan ei ole kielivirheitä, mutta toinen on selvästi parempi aloitus.

I remember once when my father was unemployed for a year and we couldn't go on holiday at all. Of course it's just one of those inevitable facts of life that some people are unemployed but I think that we should do more to help them. If my father had received more help when he was unemployed then he might have found it easier to get back to work. Still, at least we live in a welfare state and we didn't have to starve.

Can you imagine a world in which everyone worked for 30 hours a week, spent the rest of the time with their family and friends, and still earned enough money to live comfortably? Although the idea might sound rather utopian to some, I believe that such a situation is within our reach, and could be achieved with a few simple changes in our society.
